Ecotourism

Respect and discovery of the activities locations:

To highlight the natural and historical characteristics of our heritage, to increase visitors’ awareness and to minimise our impact on the environment.

Quality of coaching:

All the instructors have a State diploma in their speciality.

Quality of the hospitality:

We are a young, dynamic, friendly and small-scale company, favouring quality over quantity. We listen closely to our clients in order to fully satisfy and respond to their expectations.

Quality of the equipment

We make the Pirogues using pinewood sourced from the Landes forests. Equipment is regularly replaced to both ensure client safety and optimise performance.

Sustainable Development Approach

As outdoor sports enthusiasts it is clear that we must protect and enhance our natural environment whilst making the practice of these sports accessible to all. As part of this process we are working with several other associations towards the objectives established by the Charter for sustainable development in sport.

In collaboration with the Surfrider foundation, we organise some specific and tangible actions: raising public awareness, cleaning beaches and forests …

With the association Vagdespoir, we have created specially adapted equipment for physically disabled people enabling them to practise Waveski. Each year, we also organise a free to all open day of “Handi-Waveski” in order to raise awareness of this sport.

In conjunction with the association Water Family (previously known as « Du Flocon à la Vague ») we are involved in the development of an eco-responsible event, based on the model of the Raid XL’s eco-demonstration (Landes Départemental Council) and the eco-event guidebook from this association, with the following themes: transport, nutrition, environment, awareness …

Established activities:

  • Partner village with specific stalls

  • Cleaning beaches with Surfrider

  • Actions for sport, health and nutrition (speakers, stalls, documentation)

  • Zero use of disposable plastic (eco-friendly cups, paper bags, recyclable tableware)

  • “Green” team to clean up rubbish after events and ensure correct recycling

  • Organic and local food for catering

  • Enhancement of natural areas (National Forestry Organisation [ONF], Natura 2000)

  • Selective waste sorting

  • Public awareness-raising (Surfrider)

  • Water fountains to reduce the number of bottles

  • Donation of excess food to a charitable association
