PRIMARY / ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
On board a Hawaiian pirogue, discover a real and attractive approach to the natural environment. Alongside your pupils, you will see, touch, listen and feel our surroundings, observing and understanding the environment. We have prepared suitable riddles to aid in memorising the names of the birds and plants encountered around the lake.
Observing the living world, its diversity and how humans use the natural resources are key elements of our project, approached through the 6 following themes:
Diversity of the fauna and flora
The life cycle of a living being
The food chain
The properties of plants (medicinal, aromatic …)
This environmental project takes place from April to October, lasts 90 minutes and is certified by the Inspection académique (local education authority). We are members of the Fédération Française de Canoë-Kayak. Hawaiian pirogues are traditional small multi-person vessels from the Pacific. Each pirogue has between 7 and 14 places giving us a total capacity of 32 people.
Their stability allows travellers to remain close to the water surface while all the time staying dry.
